What does 19 Momme mean?
Momme is a unit of measurement, similar to thread count in Cotton. You can’t use thread count for Silk, therefore momme is used instead. Momme describes the silk’s weight and density. The higher the momme, the higher quality and more durable the fabric is. Momme can range anywhere from 11-momme to 25-momme. 25 momme is typically too heavy for skin and bedding- and is used in home decor like curtains. We use 22mm for the highest quality possible.
What is Mulberry Silk?
Mulberry silk is the highest quality silk available for purchase. The unique thing about Mulberry silk is how it is produced.
The highest quality silk available comes from silkworms produced from the Bombyx mori moth. They’re fed an exclusive diet of mulberry leaves, which is why the luxurious fabric is known as mulberry silk. ... The resulting cocoons are spun into raw silk fibers.

I’ve been on a quest to find an actual silk bonnet- Not one that says it silk but *definitely* is synthetic! This fits the bill! It’s a single layer, which is perfect for me because I sleep super warm. My only issue I have with it is the tie- It’s super long! I wrap it around my head to tie it, which makes it kinda awkward. If I tie it without the bow flops into my face 🤷🏻♀️. But it is definitely my favorite silk bonnet I have right now, despite that!
